Questions
What is JPCardHunt?
A deal finder for Japanese Pokémon cards. We read new listings on the biggest Japanese marketplaces, work out which card it is and compare the price with what the Japanese version sells for on Cardmarket.
Do you sell cards?
No. We link to the original listing. To buy from Japan you use a proxy service such as Buyee or ZenMarket, which buys the item for you and ships it to Europe.
Where do the prices come from?
From Cardmarket's daily price guide for the Japanese version of each card. "Avg" is the typical selling price, "from" is the cheapest offer right now. Proxy fees, shipping and import VAT are not included.
How do you know which card it is?
From the listing title: card number, set, rarity and name, matched against about 16,000 Japanese cards. Graded cards, lots, damaged cards and suspiciously cheap listings are never shown as deals.
Is every deal a sure win?
No — always check the photos, the condition and your total cost including proxy and shipping. You can set your own minimum saving in the settings.
