Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of jpcardhunt.com and its alerts ("the service"). The service is operated by Anton Kopach, Bulgaria ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected]. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

1. What the service does

JPCardHunt finds new listings of Japanese trading cards on third-party marketplaces (Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions, Rakuma), recognises the card automatically and shows reference prices from Cardmarket's public price guide. It can alert you about listings and about cards on your watchlist.

We are an information service only: we do not sell cards, we do not hold or handle goods or money for purchases, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a seller or a proxy service. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK, Mercari, Yahoo! Japan, Rakuten, Cardmarket, Buyee, ZenMarket or any other company mentioned on the site. All trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the service and at least 18 (or the age of majority in your country) to buy a paid plan.
• Provide a working e-mail address and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
• One person per account. Accounts may not be shared or resold.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

3. Information, prices and recognition — no guarantee

Card recognition is automatic and marketplaces change constantly. A listing may be mis-identified, already sold, counterfeit, damaged, described inaccurately or priced differently than shown. Cardmarket reference prices are statistics for the Japanese version of a card and do not include proxy service fees, shipping, customs duty or import VAT. Exchange rates are approximate.

Always check the original listing, the photos, the seller and your total cost before buying. Any purchase is your own decision, made directly with the seller or through a proxy service of your choice and under their terms. We are not responsible for the goods, the seller, the proxy service, shipping or customs.

4. Alerts and availability

We aim to deliver alerts within seconds to minutes, but we do not guarantee that every listing is found, that alerts arrive on time, or that the service is available without interruption. Marketplaces may change or block access at any time, and maintenance or technical problems can cause delays or outages.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape or resell the service, its data or alerts in bulk, or build a competing database from them;
• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or bypass the security or limits of the service;
• use alert channels (such as Discord webhooks) to spam or harass others;
• use the service for anything unlawful, including fraud or the sale of counterfeit goods.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to explain.

6. Free beta, paid plans and payments

During the beta the service is free. If we introduce paid plans, their price, features and billing period will be shown on the website before you are asked to pay. Payments will be processed by a payment provider named at checkout, which may act as the reseller (merchant of record) and issue your invoice. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

7. Our content and yours

The website, its design, texts and the card database belong to us or our licensors. Card images, listing photos and marketplace content belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify listings. You keep all rights to anything you send us; you allow us to use it only to provide the service.

8. Changes to the service and these terms

We may change, add or remove features. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. We will tell registered users about important changes by e-mail at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account; for paid plans, the Refund Policy applies.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end the service or an account with reasonable notice, or immediately in case of serious misuse. If we discontinue a paid plan, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

10. Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, losses arising from purchases you make, from counterfeit or misdescribed items, from missed or delayed alerts, or from inaccurate prices or recognition. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €50 if you used the service for free.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you may bring claims before the courts of your country of residence.
